I haven’t written much about Bulgaria yet, but this is one thing that struck me: the speed the seasons change. When I arrived last November, it could almost have been summer (visually) with all the vegetation burnt yellow and the street trees all still with leaves.
Within a couple of days BANG snow and cold cold winds, and it didn’t seem like summer any more!
I was only there for three weeks, and then within a couple of weeks of my leaving the country plunged into deep winter, -15, -20 C and snow, snow, snow. So, when visiting Bulgaria, always take a warm coat. And a sun-hat, just to be on the safe side…
I can’t imagine the weather changing so quickly in Atlantic-buffered Scotland.
